What are Building Blocks in Framework Builder?

In our Framework Builder, Novata provides a series of predefined templates—known as “Building Blocks”—to help you quickly create reporting questionnaires.

There are currently over 30 Building Blocks available. Our metrics team collaborates with and follows industry groups to ensure your metrics are updated each year with any changes or improvements to guidance.

Each Building Block includes a curated set of metrics, carefully selected by our methodology team. These are based on established reporting standards, as well as Novata’s core metrics.

When creating a new framework, you can select multiple Building Blocks and further customise the underlying metrics to suit your needs. Once selected, the tool will give you a preview of how many metrics overlap with each standard you've selected. Any duplicate metrics will be removed, streamlining your framework.

Some Building Blocks also include rules and built-in calculations to help simplify and streamline reporting. These are often built in line with the standard or regulation's best practice.
